As this story arc builds, I trust that its going to reveal something integral for Jessica, and not just in the sense of her pregnancy. Already, we have seen her acquiesce to her friends wishes then take up her venom blasts when she needs to. Motherhood will be an interesting change for Jessica, and at this point, I believe it wont be in a way that defines or limits her. The script itself is humorous as ever, with lighting fast banter and plenty of amusing inner gripes, but it's the human, not superhuman, element that again stands out. Dennis Hopeless really knows how to write a story- and knows when to back off and let Javier Rodriguez do the story-telling for him. Javier and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg really knock it out of the park this go round and honestly -I'm not sure how they are going to top it. The issue ends on a cliffhanger that is giving me all sorts of anxiety(yes I realize this is fiction. I don't care I love Jess) This issue was nothing short of perfect for me.

Okay, we get it, she's pregnant, there is no need to constantly point it out. That being said, this issue is fantastic! The artwork really takes centre stage, especially in the splash pages.

The colouring is lovely. Some of the art is too. There is no real plot or tension though. Jessica has to swim through some pretty pictures to get some intel. Who knew pregnant ladies can swim? Go pregnant ladies or something. Sigh!
