This book feels chunky and rushed but it has a certain charm long missed by Marvel. Although it was confusing I liked seeing Venom join the fray and that Venom Sword was dope. Violent good times.

Although Savage Avengers 4 was the low point of the series so far, Deodato’s art was still magnificent. I was hoping the Marrow’s motivation was something a little more interesting than destroying the world, but he is drawn absolutely terrifyingly by Deodato. Oh and yeah: Dragon Venom😎

This one wasnt that good. I think the whole part with venom was a little confusing. Is this the real venom or just another symbiote? Not sure where this fits in continuity.

Although this series is way to rushed and everything feels like it is just dropped in with a uninspiring first villain, there are some positives. The art is great, some of the dialogue is well written, the Punisher is always cool and dragon Venom was great to see.

This issue made me want to drop this series, and I’ve been defending it since #1. The art seems to have progressively gotten worse. It’s very basic, stiff, and SO many recycled poses and panels. How many times can you draw Doctor Voodoo reaching out with his “Elvis” hand? Four apparently in this book. And the exact same 3 panel sequence on consecutive pages made me go back and check to see if there was a double print error. Nope, just lazy art. The story is disjointed and rushed. “Let’s go here, now let’s go there, hey let’s fight! Now let’s fight that thing!” Characters pop into existence on each page. One second Castle is immobilized, then SNAP! He doesn’t have time for that and he’s fine. Dumb.
