Vicentini does some excellent work with the imagery and visuals throughout this issue. From the bright and vibrant crowd scenes with Miles and his friends to the blistering action scenes in the Beyond warehouse, the whole issue has some fantastic art throughout it. Read Full Review

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #8is a nice change of pace for the title, giving more room to Miles' life outside of Spider-Man after two arcs back to back arcs of blistering intensity. It's nice to see Hobgoblin finding a place where he can be interesting again, as well as Ziglar's voice for the villain. Overall, Miles continues to soar as the top Spider-Man book. Read Full Review

Miles Morales: Spider-Man 8 is a fantastic study in comic book pacing. Catching a breather after the Carnage crossover, the story takes some time to reconnect with the Miles Morales part of the title. The slow build up of a slice of our hero's personal life and introduction of the next threat explodes with a fantastic two-page spread that models how to do two-page spreads right. It kicks off a swirling set of pages that brings everything to a breathless conclusion. Really excellent comics!

Don't know who these supporting dues are but they seem decent. Everything else here is great, miles and Tiana are really good together. She supports him in a strong way. The art is phenomenal. I live for this guys art, the energy is insane. Super cool stuff

Pretty good issue once again. While I do like this new story, I'm not quite as interested as I was with the opening arc. However, what makes this an 8.5/10 as opposed to an 8/10 for me is that I really enjoyed how Ziglar wrote Miles and Tiana throughout this issue. They really feel like they genuinely go together and I'm especially intrigued to see more of their relationship in this arc, hoping we get more of the kind of stuff we got here. I almost forgot to mention that we were treated to not one, but two splash pages from Vicentini here. His art just fits so well with this series.

The new arc has a hook in me, though I found this first issue a little slow and repetitive (we get it, Miles could use a therapist!). The dynamic art helped. The action scenes look terrific, but I also liked the street fair visuals. I'm much less enthused about the Hobgoblin, but maybe he'll get some interesting motivation soon?

It was passable, but felt super generic. The only parts I thoroughly enjoyed were the conversations with Starling about his mental state.
