On Comics Ground - Dwight Thomas Jr

This issue was loaded with greatness. A standout issue in this already good series most definitely. I hope they keep the momentum going. As I mentioned, Doom is always interesting, and his dialogue with Reed almost gave me chills. The rivalry has withstood the test of time. This series is rocking right now, I say it all the time, GET ON IT!! Read Full Review

Zdarsky has been doing a phenomenal job on Marvel 2 in 1 and this issue continued that trend. This book still remains at the top of my pull list and it should be at the top of all of yours too. Pick this up, I have no doubt you'll love it.  Read Full Review

While it could have benefitted from a better artistic match to its subject matter, and may have changed an element of Secret Wars for the worse, it is nevertheless one of the best Fantastic Four stories in years, one that will surely get readers hyped for the team's return in August. Marvel Two-in-One Annual #1 is a great issue. It ties in well with what is happening with the regular series while answering some old questions about Dr. Doom that have been lingering on for quite a while. Plus, how can you not like the art duo of Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire delivering some sequential goodness? Has Dr. Doom truly turned over a new leaf or will the truth finally set him free? One way to find out read Marvel Two-in-One Annual #1. Read Full Review

This single issue encapsulates the essential tragedy of Doctor Doom, linking it from the very origins of his rivalry to the fallout of Secret Wars. It is a tragedy so well framed that longtime fans of the FF should leave the issue nearby to return to it often in the months to come. Read Full Review

I wanted to like the Marvel 2-in-One Annual as much as I've liked the six "Fate of the Four" issues that just wrapped up. Sadly, I found the whole thing quite unsatisfying. Read Full Review
