Dont get me wrong; the issue is entertaining and fun. Nevertheless, the story is absent this week and to those fans that read multiple titles, they'll notice the uncharacteristic portrayal of a few of the assembled cast of characters. If you're solely an IMMORTAL HULK fan, you'll probably have very little to complain about. However, to readers fully invested in multiple Marvel titles, this issue may be a bit disappointing. The series continues to build to its endgame. This issue shows how each part of the creative team is essential to telling a story. Where the line art is good and generally solid, the colors really added a ton of nuance. Read Full Review

I really wanted an orange Hulk. At least Joe is back. And the Avengers working for Gyrich? The Avengers get more sanctimonious and hypocritical every second. Hopefully Heroes Reborn sorts them out. In this fast, fighty installment, Gamma Flight votes to join Team Hulk, Hulk brutalizes the U-Foes and (after a comedic bar scene) round 2 of Hulk v. Avengers is teed up. It's a barreling fun read with plenty of comedy, as well as a dark edge. It falls shy of perfection only because it's such a perfect prelude. It's a setup for something even better, and I have complete confidence in these creators sticking the landing next month.
