you gave this one a 10 and Daredevil a 1, you have some issues, they're both amazing comics, and giving daredevil one means you're just hating on it for whatever reason while that series (along with immortal hulk) is almost universally the comic on shelf

The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally
Mar 10, 2021Joe Bennett delivers some truly horrific visuals in this issue. The art is amazingly detailed and delivers a visceral sense of darkness and dread throughout. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Charles Martin
Mar 10, 2021Immortal Hulk #44 spools out a few more story threads, defining the scope of the arc without bringing the story to the boiling point (even though it does, technically, kill the Hulk). The words and art are more than strong enough to string me along through a slow set-up process; I have every confidence that the results will be fantastic. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Christopher Landers
Mar 17, 2021This book wasn't exactly what the cover promised, and it may have only inched the plot forward a little bit, but it's still tons of fun and leaves you wanting the next issue immediately. In the end, isn't that what any reader expects out of a comic book? Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Dispatchdcu
Mar 10, 2021As you scan through the comic, look specifically at how he extenuated the size of characters like Sasquatch and Ironclad. Ironclad is gargantuan compared to even the HULK. Furthermore, watch specifically as the flesh is ripped off the HULKs body by the U-Foes. Or, focus on the fight between Rick and Sasquatch and take notice as to how relentless this new Doc Samson/ Sasquatch is. Furthermore, take heed of the layout of the panels and how Bennett zigzags the reader through the emotional elements of the issue. My point: Bennett continues to provide the energy, the action, the power, and the presence that has dominated this series since issue one. Im excited to see what comics are in his future and I absolutely cant wait to pick them up. Read Full Review

Mar 10, 2021Things are quickly coming to a head as evidenced in the stunning cliffhanger for this issue, but in the meanwhile readers can witness just how ugly the bottomline is and what sorts of terror will continue to confront these heroes before they even reach the hellish bottoms of what gamma can offer. The U-Foes kill the Hulk while his Gamma Flight supporting cast confronts the Leader's cast-off Gamma husk in New Mexico. Terrific grotesquerie in the art, significant plot development, and sharp needles of important characterization throughout. Even though this issue kills its protagonist, the specialized rules of the title make this a 2nd act story rather than a climax. It's a nigh-perfect book. Peter Gyrich (ugh) spoils things just a tiny bit with some clumsy narration.

Whelp, the U-Foes just put the "Mortal" in The Immortal Hulk. A quick read that had me smirking like Gyrich on the cover while I was flippinh through my illegally downloaded cbr. file. Watching the Hulk get beat down over and over is like watching those videos with the maltreatment of cattle in farmhouses that scared me into becoming a vegan in my early college days. It was almost a relief to see the Hulk finally get put out to pasture(especially given the eternal alternative in books like The End ). Doc Samson's crew is holding it down on their end of the tale and I am eager to see their story expounded on, and that news reporter's powers truly evolve into something more than some shit lifted from Shamalyan's Sixth Sense script. Its a pretty solid read with great visuals. Im curious to when its really going to get ready to end because many issues have felt like it was going into endgame mode and then we keep getting issues that keep building.
