Overall. This issue is full of brilliant foreshadowing for part two of Starlord and Nova's epic battle against Zeus. That said. This time the Gods will have to deal with a very pissed-off Gamora. Which is a fate that I'd not wish on my worst enemy. Read Full Review

An important character focused story setting up events for the future of the guardians. Some brilliant throwbacks to the Annihilation event are sure to delight long-time fans. Watching Al Ewing, with his clear reverence for the characters histories, mould the team into a new and exciting shape is a real delight. The art is stunning and a real highlight of the issue. Guardians of the Galaxy fans owe it to themselves to pick this comic up. Read Full Review

Given that the issue is a beat between beats, I cannot recommend it as the best place to start Guardians of the Galaxy, but darn if it isn't a well-crafted comic that will make the next issue shine a bit brighter. Read Full Review

There is a lot going on in this issue as it serves to try and deal with the recent arc's whilst also prepping for the big fight to come. Fans of the book may well enjoy the last battle of this group of Guardians; for readers wanting to jump on, you are either going to have buy a few back issues or wait until April for the next organic jump on point. This comic issue is the calm before the storm as the Guardians use their time for some emotional recollection. Some more successful than others while they prepare for the final battle with the Olympians. If you're looking for a story with the Guardians in action, then wait for the next issue. But Why Tho? - Quinn

    Feb 15, 2021

Overall, Guardians Of The Galaxy #11 is a middle of the road issue. With a lull in the action, we do get an inkling of the changing relationships between Quill and the rest of the Guardians, but there's not enough time before the Olympians show up to truly explore this new dynamic. This issue acts as mostly set-up for the next big fight. Read Full Review

Super enjoyable, especially if you've read Annihilation.

It's a good issue and I did enjoy it but some pages felt off and somehow didn't gel as a unit. It's how Ewing writes it where it is great at times and feels vague and unnecessarily disconnected other times. Still a great Guardians book as far as I am concerned and recommend it if you like Ewing's style. Cabal is fantastic as always and Blee's colors were perfect!

The Guardians take an issue to hammer home how very conflicted and tense they are with each other, which will make their pending victory over the Olympians that much more impressive. I guess I like the character work done here -- although "Gamora is mad at Quill" feels pretty tired. This is a good comic, but I predict with confidence that if you re-read this run a year later, this is gonna be the #1 "oh yeah, I forgot this was in here" issue.
