This series Blood Hunt tie-in issues are the best of both worlds. North balances the circumstances created by the larger event with his own stories and accompanying character exploration. Like the issue before it, this works because, although it’s a tie-in issue, North keeps it totally and thematically in line with the rest of the book.

I'm no fan of the Fantastic Four, I only picked this up because it's a Blood Hunt tie-in, but I'm glad I did. It was interesting and a good tie-in. I dunno if it'll make me want to pick up F4 books moving forward, but I'll at least give them a look and consider it.

Good read over all, art is growing on me or maybe just better done. I dont know how I feel about all of the story honestly. Like its interesting to have the FF be in the background and not solve a problem in their own book. I cant tell if I like that or it was a waste of money. A more picky question for other readers: Was the Reed tearing his skin from stretching in character? I mean I get it was established last time that he pushed himself to the limits but Reed's power has been so all over the place with each writer I cant tell if this is actually consistent or not. I suppose this is what we get when Marvels Editors go on record mocking continuity and lore. Fun issue though. Still held down by the fact it had to be associated with the terrible blood hunt event. more

I'm glad the vampire part is over not really my cup of tea, the only vampire themed stories I can tolerate are the Vampire the Masquerade games and books. Anything outside of that universe vampires are pretty cliche and just smarter zombies in most modern media. Nonetheless happy to see Doom come back and take credit for saving the world from them, so should be interesting to see what he has planned.

Art still ugly. Trapped..and then sun is up and Doom saved the world..
