Fantastic Four #13 concludes the interdimensional dino adventure with a Doom plot that spells doom for the universe. North's action/adventure plot is excellent (barring a glaring plot hole), and Coello's art looks fantastic (barring a glaring character design problem). Read Full Review

Fantastic Four #13 concludes the story where the Fantastic Four encounter a world of Dinosaur counterparts, and of course Dr. Doom meets his own dino double and the two team up to try taking over both universes. The comic isn't the most action-packed story out there, but it has fun dialogue thanks to the writing for the characters, and the art from Iban Coello is great as always with bringing these characters to life and making the comic look cool. The only downside is that the comic doesn't do much with the concept of the heroes and villains teaming up with their dinosaur counterparts to stop the two Dooms. This was another funny ish, I never thought seeing Dr. Doom standing on a T-Rex version of himself would be so amusing but it works here. Leave it to the Thing to outsmart the two Dooms lmao

The story speeds along to a delightful climax. Doom and Dino-Doom sound terrific, and the shape of the plot gives Ben Grimm another chance to save the day with brains rather than clobbering. It's just a bit too speedy and shallow to qualify as truly great, at least in my opinion. Plus my subjective dislike of the art style is still itching me. None of which is to say I consider this issue less than very good.

The Bens of both universes use their most powerful weapon against Doctor Doom, sarcasm. The art is magnificent, full of details, very illuminated where it manages to merge the dinosaurs with the Marvel Universe with total fluidity.

Pure FF fun. This just works. Yeah the whole Dr. Doom resolution has been done to death from Lee/Kirby to now but I'll allow it because the charm is still there. Coello is great on art but that dang Ben Grimm floating head just looks off.

Better than the last issue but too goofy. Additionally North re-uses one of Doom's weaknesses again too soon. Used his pride/paranoia in what issue 7? And again in this issue. Using the same way to take him down (even if he took himself down the last time), is a bit like going to the same well too often even if it does keep with the saying 'The only one who can beat Doom is Doom.'. Overall not a terrible issue and has its redeeming moments for sure. But too wacky and reused ideas for me. I didn't dislike it though and it was better than the last hence my 7.5 rating.
