It's a serviceable first issue that sets up all the main players and reveals who the new villains are. This comic is so steeped in continuity, I’m surprised Marvel even allowed it. That said, as someone whose been reading comics the past 30 years, it was a lot of fun. I predict after Reckoning War concludes, we’ll have a change in the FF lineup and I always enjoy that.

This was pretty good. The art is good, the story is told in an old-school kind of way but doesn't feel dated. I had zero trust in Slott but this gives me a bit of hope. I loved the fact that Fury is back, Marvel did him dirty all these last years. I like Jr. too but original Fury is always going to be better. Bring him back, Marvel, and bring S.H.I.E.L.D. back while you're at it, bring Maria Hill back too. So in conclusion, yeah, I'm interested in this.

Slott NEVER sticks the landing and just fails at everything he does. I wouldn’t fall for this if I were you

Good start that got me interested just enough to stick with FF and see what Slott is cooking. Pacheco's art isn't for me. I hope his health gets better. Luckily Magno took over to finish and his pages were FANTASTIC! His details and inking are pure. Guru-eFX's coloring is great as usual.

I mean, this is definitely kind of clunky, and seems to come out of nowhere (even though, we all know it didn't). But it wasn't bad. I just feel like... why now?

The art and the plotting live up to standards of an event comic, and Dan Slott does have his long-term ducks in a row. But the dialogue is extremely cliched and the characterization is pond-shallow. It's the start of a cromulent Big Dumb Eventâ„¢ and though it's certainly good-not-great, it failed to hook me. My future reaction will be based on how far this spreads beyond Fantastic Four, i.e., if this derails She-Hulk's new solo, I'll get disappointed.
