The senses-shattering saga of Spyre plays a number of familiar Fantastic Four riffs and comes up with some new and entertaining things to do with them. This is stuff weve seen before in ways that we havent seen it. Coming up with material that is true to the FF tradition but isnt a mere retread of old stories isnt easy, but Dan Slott seems to be on top of things. I want to love Fantastic Four but each issue always feels like something is missing. This issue it is the family dynamic that is MIA and while Dan Slott tries to wow us in different ways, I just couldn't get into it. Read Full Review

The story's not impressing me, but the portrayal of the FF is. Particularly in the art, particularly for Sue: It feels like the real Invisible Woman has returned after a long absence. Can we *please* get Sean Izaakse assigned to this book permanently?

As corny as some of the parts were, mainly the human torch part, there was something about this issie I really liked. It had a good plot and the parts with Thing were great. The art really suits the book. Definitely a solid read.

The stuff with The Thing was great. He's easily the highlight. But the rest was not so good. I really liked the first issue of this arc, and it's unfortunate that it couldn't be maintained.

I kind of loved Thing: Hero of the Revolution, but I’m still pretty meh on everything else here.
