Doctor Strange is beginning to settle down into the background of the Marvel Universe again. Hes had his series, and like the others before them, this one too will come to an end. This issue feels like a really solid ending to the current series. There are still three issues left in the run. Plenty of great dramatic moments with classic Marvel tales tension by Waid and Kitson! You feel for strange and all he has to endure and yet at the end you're not surprised by the outcome. Also I can't see how they will make him go lower but they will! Kitson rough pencils with Koblish's finishes are at their best in this issue. Beber delivers a classic color palette.

Man, that ending was pretty insanely telegraphed. The way he saved the universe was cool though.

Strange remakes the universe just as we knew he would. He has to pay a fearsome price to Mephisto, though. I like the price a great deal more than the remaking; it provides exactly the edge I needed to stop me from rating this down as too clichéd to enjoy.
