As Doctor Strange's rogues gallery returns his biggest baddest threat finally strikes. What has made Doctor Strange so interesting in this run is that he cannot rely on a magic fix. Using magic requires so much more work so we see a man using his wits to get around that problem. Along with a lot of luck. A new threat is being built that seems like it will be interesting with the support cast getting some focus. We also get more views of Doctor Strange's past since the universe was rewritten after Secret Wars.

A solid ending for a great arc. I love the art of Bachalo and Smith and the story of Aaron. Plus the other arc looks just as promising.

A killer confrontation with Dormammu, but a bit of a deus ex machina resolution. Love the artwork, especially the layouts.

Dr. Strange banishes Dormammu with a display of archetypal Dr. Strange-iness. It's a much-anticipated return to form at the end of a rather disappointing story arc. It feels like it's been years since we've seen good old Doc S making with the sparkle-fists and chanting dread incantations, but it's finally back. The subtle flowering of the supporting cast is fun, too. Wong is about to play a central role, and there's some nice foreshadowing pointing toward big things in librarian Zelma's future.

Nice cover. This conclusion was just "good enough" and the art was better than that. Doc beat Dormammu, not once, but twice with a little too much deus ex magica. And poor Wong is really getting raked over the coals in this run. Zelma's "Captain Cornea" line and Plan B were hilarious.
