TRAPPED IN THE DARK WEB! When Jean Grey returned from the dead, Scott Summers left his wife and child to be with her. The fact that she was revealed to be a clone of Jean didn't make her feel any better. Maybe the cold sting of revenge can?

The art is great from top to bottom, with each page capturing the emotions perfectly and featuring setpieces and layouts that are completely eye-catching. Writing-wise, this is easily some of Duggan's best work on the X-Men line, delivering what are ultimately great character moments and an interesting platform to step off from for future stories. Finishing this just highlights that Dark Web should never have been a Spider-Man event. The only story worth telling was the one between Madelyne, Jean and the Summers brothers. The conclusion to their story is even in this book. It's all so satisfying and beautifully told. Best tie-in I've read in years and in three issues told a great story that Wells couldn't in five.

And so ends my favorite arc from Duggan's X-Men thus far. It pretty much tells a complete story so if you're only interested in the X-Men side of this Spider-Man event then go ahead and give this a shot.

With that, this tie-in miniseries ends on a high note. While I would have liked to actually see Scott and Alex escape their cell with the puppies, I really enjoyed what we got with Jean and Madelyn. This series as a whole will go down as one of the stronger parts of Dark Web, if not THE strongest.

One of the few bright spots in this dumb Dark Web event. Enjoyed it and loved the art duo of Reis and Noto.

The story is pretty good, but really... What's the point of this Dark Web event? This is literally the writers shouting "We could have ended it in two issues". Anyway, very emotional moments between the Greys.

Madelyne Pryor's Dark Web arc takes an abrupt swerve away from villainy. It's not the strongest or most engaging idea, but *damn* is it executed well. The art's gorgeous and the script is packed with some of the best prose Gerry Duggan's ever put on paper. Mark this down as another case where the tie-ins are trouncing the main event in terms of quality and appeal.
