Checchetto Brings the SmokeIt's a pleasure to have Checchetto back on this book, stylistic haze and all. My favorite panels had to be the rooftop fight. Murdock's makeshift costume, the Daredevil copycat (I'm serious about cosplaying it), and good 'ol Foggy; brawling with the Po Po. It was fantastic. And with the appearance of [SPOILER ALERT!] Elektra, I noticed the choice of making her hair curly. I thought "Yea, that makes sense". She's Greek and if My Big Fat Greek Wedding taught me anything is that they can have lovely curls. Now I'm wondering how often her hair is portrayed straight vs curly because I feel like it's straight most of the time. Most importantly though, the new issue promises a training montage!!! Daredevil #12 was another phenomenal issue in what is easily Marvel's best ongoing series. Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto work perfectly together to create two intriguing stories that follow Matt Murdock and Mayor Wilson Fisk. Daredevil is still one of my favorite books at Marvel and while this issue was dominated by an extended fight, two really big things happen that have me pumped going forward. The whole issue looked great and I highly recommend picking it up. Read Full Review

Oh my god. Honestly what was that guy thinking, literally why would you try to bully the Kingpin, and real talk I was feeling bad for Kingpin there so I support him and his choices.

Prelude: Zdarksy has been killing it on Daredevil so let's see if he can keep it up. The Good: Matt was so good this issue. Really liked his plan and everything feels natural with what's happening. Also we have some more Elektra which promises some good future issues. This arc has been focusing more on Fisk then usual and I loved what was done here. Absolutely amazing. Art was fabulous. Not a single bad panel. The Bad: Nothing. Conclusion: Zdarsky has really proven himself on Daredevil and this issue is no exception. I'm really running out of praise to give this book since I've been repeating myself so often.

I love everything about this issue, Foggy is clever, the actions is exciting, Fisk is losing control. It's just excellent to watch this run hit its stride. Yet another glorious time to be a DareDevil reader.

-"But im plan B" got me so pumped, love me some foggy and Plan A was creative -Love the continuity with DD's moral compass when dealing with criminals -Using Kingpin in a room full of those with power while having Daredevil say "They dont fear me" is just smart design -A refreshing perspective on Kingpin who rarely tapped into his primal nature this series, excited to see more of his actions when the chessboard is not owned by him

Zdarsky and Checchetto hit another homer. Suspense and clever storytelling in abundance. For me, Daredevil remains the most consistently good Marvel ongoing and is in no danger of relinquishing that status any time soon. A great single issue should always leave you both satisfied and itching for more - this does that in spades.

Liked the kingpin storyline a tad more. Seeing Fisk feel small in the world of "legitimacy" is great.

Matt and Fisk both fall into old, destructive patterns in this nice parallel story. The key difference, of course, is that the hero has friends to pull him out of the hole and the villain stares into the abyss alone. In words and art, this stops just shy of greatness -- but it is within spitting distance. I have high hopes for the rest of the arc.

Chip Zdarsky's Daredevil has become one of my favourite books. Solid issue, great art by Marco Checchetto. Not too much story packed in this issue, but it's still a good read.

Beautiful art when characters are standing still, but MAN Checchetto can't draw action. 0 energy in any of the hits. Characters are just posing for punches they already did.
