  (Cover Date: August, 1987) **SPOILERS** Summary: A man named Wheeler watches two thugs break the legs of a man as a warning to him for not paying his loan back on time. Hearing the man's screams, DD intervenes & takes the thugs out. While DD is attending to the injured man, Wheeler steals cash off of the thugs. Wheeler then proceeds to lose the money gambling. Back home, Wheeler looks at his golden Wakandan armor & recalls when he worked for the Black Panther & married his cousin. Due to his deadbeat father, Wheeler's son calls the Black Panther, who is in the city, for help. Black Panther intervenes when some thugs threaten Wheeler for the money he owes. Wheeler puts on his armor & robs a bank. He is intercepted by DD & then by the Black Panther who bring him down. DD & Black Panther get into a fight over Wheeler's ultimate fate. Intending suicide, Wheeler lets himself get shot up by police in a helicopter, which causes his armor to start on fire. DD overcomes the Black Panther, then strips the flaming armor off of Wheeler to save his life. Later, Wheeler tells his wife & son that he got a job & isn't gambling anymore. more

  Nocenti's writing style is exactly the same every issue but this was an improvement
