    Concert of Champions #1 brings together Marvel's musical heroes for a story that's equal parts emotional and exciting.     Loo has a good handle on Alison (as seen in his Dazzler) and gives her more dimensionality than we usually get to see from her. I wish that series were an ongoing, but alas, such is the fate of X-Men who reside below the B-List. Artists Rafael Loureiro & Ruairi Colemans art perfectly matches the lighter, bubblegum tone of Loos script, and color artists Yen Nitro w/ Fer Sifuentes-Sujo keep their visuals bright and vibrant. Its an overall impressive package that is a must-read for fans of any of the characters within, but especially Dazzler. Duh! Read Full Review

    Concert Of Champions #1 marks Jason Loo's second crack at bringing life to the X-Men's most famous mutant musician, and the results are about what you expect. Fans of Dazzler get to see the musician in all her hero glory, but the plot is a convoluted mess of random events that happen without explanation or good reason. If nothing else, the art is solid from returning artist Rafael Loureiro. Read Full Review

    I'm not expecting realism from a Marvel comic, but Concert of Champions works in broad strokes about music fandom and the festival experience putting not super well-done fight scenes over anything interesting. It's neither a good music or mutant/superhero comic. Read Full Review
