Camagni delivers some great art throughout the story. The characters look amazing and the action is big, broad and exciting. McKelvie does a great job of building the atmosphere and place of the story in the second story and you get a real sense of the neighborhood and its people. Read Full Review

Despite the legacy counts, this issue sees the longest run of the Carol's comic book career. Through all the changes, be titular, costume, the addition of Alpha Flight, you have to admire the persistence of Marvel to stick with the character, though truth be told, I feel that Kelly Thompson deserves all the recognition for maintain Carol;'s ongoing presence in the Marvel Universe and in your local comic book shops. Kelly keeps Carol rolling with the punches, and reminds me why I love Carol: she doesnt know everything, but always willing to do whatever it takes to save the people she loves. Captain Marvel #30 is a strong conclusion to the "Strange Magic" story arc. The actions Carol Danvers takes against Enchantress and Ove creates a lot of questions of how she will deal with the consequences for those decisions. The back-up story involving a meeting with Kamala Khan complimented Carol's character well. It all builds excitement for what the future of Captain Marvel will be moving forward. Read Full Review

Captain Marvel and Kelly Thompson come to an apex in this issue. Carol all but allows the events of her future arc to unfold. But during her state of helplessness, she feels that her plan still went wrong with how many people's lives she comes to love would also be prevented. It's what calls back to her depiction in Civil War II; despite her good intentions, Carol failed to see the ripple effects of her actions. People like War Machine love Carol for how she likes to live in the moment. Because worrying about the future all of the time like she's been doing is just too stressful. Which is why the bonus feature has Carol visit Ms. Marvel. One where she opens up about her vulnerability instead of trying to hide it. One that fully acknowled ges Carol's stubbornness as being a blessing and a curse. She would like her superhero life a little more if she wasn't in constant strife with events. But she's too stubborn to just give it all up. So Ms. Marvel shows the ripple effects that regular people Carol helped turned their lives around. Because it's a little more important to live in the moment than constantly worry about the future. more

Really good ending to the future/Ove stuff. I kinda hope it ends here, honestly. The backup by Jamie McKelvie is so well done, and that's the sort of thing that fixes a character after all that assassination.

Kelly esta me fazendo ficar na expectativa para cada próxima edição de Capitã Marvel. Espero ver o Ove muitas vezes no futuro, é um excelente vilão.

Carol finds an interesting third option in her conflict with Ove and scores a sweet make-up with Rhodey. The main strip is fighty, with much punching and zapping, but also some impressive on-the-fly thinking from Carol. The art is teetering on the edge of "not detailed enough," unfortunately. But then there's the B strip. What a treasure! Captain Marvel seeks out Ms. Marvel to get a pep talk, and Kamala delivers an epic one. Good Carol/Kamala strips are surprisingly rare, and this one is nigh perfect. It's also so gorgeously drawn that it makes me long for Jamie McKelvie as the regular artist on a Captain Marvel or Ms. Marvel series … it's a pity that Marvel's never gonna shell out the bucks to make that happen.
