    Graphic Policy - Brett

The issue, the series so far, is utterly brilliant. It questions where we are as a nation. It questions what it is Captain America is standing up for. It makes us think and debate what America truly is. It also reminds us that we too easily trade our ideals for security and have on too many occasions abandoned those who live in the United States. Cap's hunt for these rouge Nukes is reaching new levels. Having enlisted help from Black Panther and Wakandan allies, there's more to this mission than simply taking down Nuke copies. It's about fighting against foes who would seek to strike at the very soul of the nation. And in taking the fight to this unseen enemy, it promises adventure and excitement that will hold readers fast and not let go. Read Full Review

    Comicosity - Aaron Long

Captain America #3 isn't going to make you feel good about the world, but it will give you someone broken and lost to empathize with. Hell, you'll even get to live vicariously through Steve and punch some alt-right Nukes, which is always a good time. Coates, Yu, Alanguilan, Gho and Caramagna are moving deeper into a story that is getting better as it goes. Read Full Review

The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally

Yu does some fantastic art in this issue and the shadow and details used in the shots of Cap really hammer home the drama and personal conflict Steve is facing. It's never morose, but it does allow for a level of introspection that really complements the story being told. Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - Matt Attanasio

CAPTAIN AMERICA #3 is an entertaining read, to an extent. Frankly, the story is already lagging a bit. It's a little too early for that, and fantastic art can only carry a story so far. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Keith Reid-Cleveland

    Sep 05, 2018

This story ofCaptain America is looking like it'll be a slow burn. Which makes sense given that we're coming right out of a universe-wide event that heavily featured Captain America. You don't just walk out of that like nothing happened. Fortunately, Coates got to play with characters from the other Marvel series he's writing and we get to see some plot progression after the last two issues were largely devoted to world-building. T'Challa, Okoye, and Steve Rogers are a great trio to watch and hopefully we'll be treated to this team-up for a few more issues. Read Full Review

    Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison

    Sep 08, 2018

Captain America #3 is another good issue of Ta-Nehisi Coates fledgling run on Steve Rogers comic. The story is interesting and has its finger on the pulse of the current socioeconomic situation in which the U.S finds itself, and the art is fantastic. This one comes with a recommendation. Check it out. Read Full Review
