This is the Blade comic that I want. It should not have taken us 9 issues to get here! The background characters of Tulip and what's her name are pretty flat; them having some personality would go a long way.

I'm glad this book as been able to maintain this level of quality. I enjoyed the first three issues, especially #3, but then things took a hard turn at #4 & #5. Though, it's all been good reading. Here, Hill and Pinti do a good job in their respective roles. I'm not sure how I feel about this series doing a bit more comedy (at least from what I've noticed), but it's entertaining. I just hope the next issue sticks the landing, especially with the battle between Blade and the Adana being built since the beginning.

So I did chuckle at a couple of points like "What about Tanaka" " I believe he has gone insane'. How was that suppose to be written to get a chuckle out of me? I dont think so, but I try to laugh where I can in this series as it is such a miss. The art really brings it down. At least there were some other genuinely funny moments in this one. The set up is nice and I do look forward to the final fight. Better than many of the previous issues which were so weak. Overall, story is a big step up, art is still a mess.

This story has just overstayed its welcome. This should have wrapped up in issue 6. Instead, we are now on issue 9 and the battle between the Blade and Adana is finally coming to a head. The beginning with the werewolf was fun and the infiltration of the library. This was definitely a better issue that last few. This run started out strong, dipped to weak, and I hope it ends strongly. If they had cut out the train and the Dracula issue, we could have gotten to this more quickly.
