On the real, so much culture is woven into this story and this world that the homework done alone needs to applauded. Do you know how much research this takes? From the macro of naming areas of this fictional galaxy after fictional Wakandan legends to the micro of naming a minor character after a real-life Nigerian author to the meta of Coates naming this arc after his December 2009 Atlantic article"about finding his name. The new girl is revealed as Bast in Princess Zenzi's body, and she drops a mighty load of new direction on the Maroons and us readers. There's a touch of action, good art throughout, and the first of the answers we've been waiting for oh-so-desperately. The curtain is starting to pull back in a wholly-satisfying way.

We're here and I can't say that it's a fulfilling issue as it lays out what happened but it's fun and some great art from Walker! Coates isn't there yet in my opinion when it comes to making the heavy beats land right. But I'll keep going since it's still enjoyable.

We finally get an explanation for what's been happening. I mean, nothing much that I didn't already know, but I guess it's nice to have it laid out somewhat. Hopefully, this story gets more interesting with T'Challa regaining his memories. The pacing of this story is probably it's biggest issue. Something that Coates clearly struggles with as a writer. But this story is so out there and wrapped up in itself that it's sometimes hard to maintain interest.
