Final ThoughtsAvengers Forever #2 would have benefitted from branching plotlines, with Ghost Riders torture sequences periodically switching to see what Earth-818 Ant-Man and his team were doing. I liked this a lot, even if it's just a bunch of metal shit happening. I'm easily pleased sometimes, it's a problem. I know I deserve better.

Sometimes I fall for Aaron schtick and I know it yet I can't help but enjoy the over the top stupidity and stupendousness of it. This issue was enjoyable! Aaron Kuder's art was phenomenal with great attention to detail here. The guy kills himself on the page and it shows. Carlos Magno blended his art style to fit Kuder's and the jail cell scenes were spot on. The inkers Scott Hanna, Roberto Poggi and Cam Smith all were just tight. Guru-eFX's colors blended it all very well too. This was a great book to feast your eye on.

This comic aims for grimdark in the same over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek way as anything in the WH40K mythos. The torture porn does have a point, be it heavy-handed and simplistic: This pain is forging Robbie into something new. The art's impressive, particularly as a collaboration. If the title page didn't tell me, I'd probably never guess this was a team effort. It's another guilty pleasure, like the last issue, but with a refreshingly different flavor of stupid. I guess I'll just have to see how long the variety holds up.
