A great start to a new era and something that has been a long time coming since the start of Champions. Read Full Review

A strong team book, but a tad repetitive with the character drama. Read Full Review

Avengers #672 is what happens when superheroes stop being polite and start getting real. Fingers crossed they can put aside their differences and have a day unlike any other once again by standing together and facing down whatever else Mark Waid and company plan to throw at them next. Monkeys Fighting Robots - Brandon J. Griffin

This may not feel exactly like the Avengers of old, but the enjoyment does. This certainly feels more like a classic Avengers title than the most recent handful of various Avengers titles. Read Full Review

    Superior Spider-Talk - Russ McDonald

The actual story of The Avengers #672 is kind of generic and doesn't do much to establish how "Legacy" will differ substantively from what came before it. Waid's characterization is sharp as ever, though, so it's not a total bummer that some things have stayed the same. Read Full Review

It's the character dynamics that make this issue worthwhile. Seeing Hercules and Amadeus Cho reunited is practically worth the price of admission all on its own. Read Full Review

We The Nerdy - Luke Miller

So nothing groundbreaking plot-wise, but serviceable enough. The characters seem well-written, even if I'm not particularly interested in them. The art is fine, but again, nothing groundbreaking. I guess that's just how the book feels to me: It's fine. It's a standard, slightly above-average book. Read it if you're particularly interested in the characters or the teams. If you're not, I'd definitely say give this book a pass. Read Full Review

    Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison

#672 isnt a bad book, but I cant quite recommend it either, especially since you would need to follow Champions as well to get the full story (something which seems like a baffling move in what is supposed to be a new era of both books). Give this one a pass. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Oct 09, 2017

Avengers #672 was a solid kick off to the crossover with Champions. Mark Waid shows his clear understanding of each member of both teams. The different team dynamics and focus on the threat against Earth help make this a story that is worth giving a try if you are a fan of the Avengers or Champions in the post-Marvel Legacy future.
