As usual, this .LR issue is really required reading for Spencer’s Spider-Man story. Thankfully, it’s worth the price of admission. Amazing Spider-Man #51.LR is a good issue for new readers who haven't been reading this series. Dedicated readers will find portions of this book unnecessary and redundant. It also sorely lacks Spider-Man and feels more like a pit-stop than a major chapter in the "Last Remains" story. Super Spidey fans may want to read this for the Sin-Eater scenes, but most everybody else can feel comfortable skipping it. Read Full Review

I'm following along even as we crowd this thing but we'll see how Spencer and Rosenberg bring it in with so many balls in the air. Vicentini on art duty is great as his style makes this much more enjoyable.

This was pretty good. Definitely needed for the overall story. Liked the sin eater parts the most.

Spencer starts introducing other characters into this story-arc, but it's not necessarily a good thing as this feels over-crowded: Spider-Man, Norman Osborn, Kindred, Sin-Eater, Order of the Web and now a long known character I won't spoil. Fortunately we see what happened to Sin-Eater and his followers, because it looked like Spencer left the plot hanging.

The story here was fine but I don't understand the critics raving over the art. It's flat and many panels are hard to decipher.

I second that on the art. Most of the action panels are too busy and disorganized -- you don't know where to look.

This companion arc is shooting 2 for 3 on plotlines I'm interested in. I like the idea of Norman and MJ teaming up, I LOVE Strange and Black Cat teaming up, but Sin-Eater sticking around? Ugh. And his new target? Double ugh. I don't think it's a good idea to revisit a questionable mystical nemesis from Spidey's past while you're trying to set up a new one.
