This run of ASM has been a complete joy to read from Joe Kelly. With the addition of this side story of Death Spiral and the addition of Charles Soule, it has reached a new level for me. This is an amazing story full or action, mystery, suspense and emotional turmoil. Amazing Spider-Man continues to have amazing storytelling as well as impeccable art to support it! Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

Amazing Spider-Man #24 shifts the spotlight to Eddie Brock and explores the dangerous bond between him and Carnage with intensity and purpose. Charles Soule taps into Eddie’s past to ground the story in personal trauma, while showing how easily Carnage can push him toward chaos. Jesus Saiz elevates the horror with unsettling visuals that make Carnage feel more alien and unpredictable than ever. While Spider-Man and Venom appear, their roles feel secondary, serving more as observers than drivers of the story. The issue works best as a character study of Eddie under pressure, building tension for what comes next in the crossover. Read Full Review

The Amazing Spider-Man #24 is the first issue in this event that truly hit on the emotional potential this story innately has. With the previous Carnage team now involved and pulling their weight, this issue finally pulls off the mask and reveals it to be a sleeper hit for Eddie Brock lovers. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez

Amazing Spider-Man #24 is a visually arresting but narratively hollow entry that feels more like a committee-driven mandate than a natural progression of the story. The issue masterfully explores the tragic roots of Eddie Brock through evocative art and somber coloring that captures the grim reality of the Bronx. However, the masterfully executed character work is undermined by a lack of narrative momentum and a jarring art style transition that makes the entire experience feel like a temporary lift rather than a sustainable flagship story. This issue does not earn a place in a limited budget unless you are a die-hard devotee of Saiz’s realistic style or a completionist for the “Death Spiral” event. Read Full Review

Joe Kelly must have given just some outline notes because even he would not pull off a dud of a comic like this one. We had 1 decent issue of Spirals. The Venom issue sucked… nothing really happened to move the plot forward and here we are all over again… NOTHING IS HAPPENING. It’s a shame too because we do get some moments in this series with MJ and Peter, Eddie as an abused child. All the character work is overshadowed by this crossover event that doesn’t seem to really be a Crossover event. I know nothing about Torment other than he’s killing people related to the Spider Family and it’s barely the focus . Other than that we are 2 issues deeper with near zero progress. This really stinks of a cash grab to fill 9 issues and sell comics more
