Nov 05, 2019Absolute Carnage has quickly become a standout Marvel Comics event and not just because it's full of frightening horror. It is an incredible story full of jaw-dropping moments, awesome artwork, and a villain that would scare even the fiercest killers of the horror genre. It also happens to redefine and elevate Venom to levels heretofore unseen. People will be speaking about this character in the same breath as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America by the time this series is through. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Jason A. Fleece
Oct 16, 2019Absolute Carnage #4 isnt deep. Its not this generations Maus or American Splendor. Instead, its a gloriously over-the-top action comic, with notes of horror. Its dumb action, and thank God for it. Read Full Review

Oct 20, 2019Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman combine to deliver yet another excellent chapter of the Absolute Carnage event. Absolute Carnage #4 does a fantastic job showing how wickedly evil Cletus Kasady is as his God-complex reaches its next level. Dark Carange's evolution complimented the hero journey Eddie Brock takes as his return to being Venom is well earned. By the time we reach the cliffhanger ending the hype for how Absolute Carnage will end is at its max level. Which is exactly how things should be heading into the final issue of a big event. Oct 17, 2019Separated from his other half and welding borrowed weapons, it’s in Absolute Carnage #4 that Eddie Brock learns what it means to be a hero - assuming that lesson doesn’t kill him first, that is. Graced with heart, theatricality, and intensely creepy artwork, this issue positions this goopy event for a thunderous ending. And the best part is, it could go either way. It could be a legendary showdown between Carnage and Venom for the fate of the world, or it could be another densely-packed emotional catharsis for Eddie and his sphere of influence. Either way, this issue is proof that the suit doesn’t make the man - that Eddie Brock is a worthy hero no matter what he’s wearing. Read Full Review

Oct 18, 2019The overall craziness and pace of the story is one that struggles to fit into the page count from a writing perspective, even though Stegman his inkers JP Mayer and Jay Leisten, plus colorist Frank Martin pack in plenty of the grotesque. Read Full Review
