"BAD EGG"

Serving as both a stand-alone story in the WYTCHES world and a prequel to the highly anticipated WYTCHES, VOL. 2, "BAD EGG" tells the story of Seb and Jackson-two innocent teenagers reared on opposite sides of the eternal struggle between good and evil.

Sebastian's mother is a member of "The Irons," the most ruthless Wytch hunters in history, while Jackson's family are "High Horn" Wytches. Can these two boys find friendship amidst this age-old blood feud, or are their fates already sealed?

Collecting the entire IMAGE+ magazine run and, for the first time, the 13-page, pulse-pounding conclusion plus extra more

Sirens of Sequentials - Jenn Marshall

Overall, Bad Egg was amazing. I loved it as much as I did the first volume of Wytches. In the back of the issue, Snyder wrote a letter and talked about how his fears had changed since he wrote the first volume, and you can definitely see that in how the story deals with kids. I cannot wait for the next story arc. Read Full Review

As a Wytches fan, I am so excited to be back in this world and this is a fantastic start to whatever the creative team as in store. Snyder's letter to fans at the start and finish of the story show his and the entire team's passion for this story. That passion shows in the product. If you are a fan horror or Scott Snyder's previous work I highly recommend picking up this book. Read Full Review

As a standalone story I couldnt possibly have wished for better than what has been delivered here. If this is truly a prequel to the next volume then I cannot wait to see what Snyder, Jock & Hollingsworth have in store for us, but I know its going to be epic! Im trying to work out if I can get away with adding this to my top horror comics of 2018 as its a strong contender for the top spot. Read Full Review

Wytches: Bad Egg is an incredible comic. It's a reminder of how great Wytches is and how much I missed it. There's another arc in the works and it can't come soon enough. The Wytches: Bad Egg Halloween Special works as a perfect reintroduction to the world of Wytches, and sets the stage for volume two. Bad Egg creates an emotional connection between the audience and the protagonist, easily engaging the reader, investing them into Sebs journey; moreover, it succeeds in adding to the already established lore without having to retread the plot of the first volume. The biggest drawback from this issue that it's not long enough. It gives us a taste and makes you want more. You realize how good the series is and forces you to read volume one to be hyped for it again. This gives us a good understanding that the next volume is going to be good. Hopefully.
