Universal Monsters: Frankenstein #4

Its sad to see it all come to an end only four issues in. Granted: the movie itself was only 70 minutes long. As it is, its a bit indulgent to turn a 70 minute film into a four-part comic book series. Its just sad to see it come to an ends. Its been such a well-crafted love latter to the newly 100-year-old film. Surely there is more than has not been delivered to the page. Perhaps Wales and Griffin could do a similar adaptation with The Bride of Frankenstein? Its worth looking into in any case... Read Full Review

Frankenstein #4 is the grand finale in yet another addition to the Monster-verse that Image and Skybound have created. This ending is full of tear-jerking emotion, hope, and leaves us thinking even after the book has closed which is a testament to a truly incredible story. Read Full Review

UNIVERSAL MONSTERS: FRANKENSTEIN #4 brings the film adaptation with a twist to a close when Michael Walsh's unique twist explains the monster's most tragic mistake, leading to a cascade of violence. Walsh understood the novelty of finding the story within the story to give the film a fresh perspective, and the artwork looks fantastic. Read Full Review

A beautiful to look at comic. I never saw the original movie, but this was enjoyable with no background knowledge.

This is pretty much a scene-by-scene retelling of the movie. He didn't do anything different. This was a bit more disappointing than I thought.
