You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jan 16, 2025Its nice to see shades of darkness around the edges of something that I had only ever really had a chance to be. Kind of bright and silly when it was first debuted its nice to see that theres some willingness to be a bit more dark as the series moves forward into the newly-created Energon Universe. Theoretically, there would be more that could be explored with the franchise. The simple good versus evil framework is cozy and familiar, but its not anything with that ends up feeling terribly compelling after the last page of any issue. These franchises can explore quite a bit more than very simple concepts if theyre given the chance. Read Full Review

Joshua Williamson's script is well-paced and focused, improving significantly from issue #1's bumpy start. Sadly, the art is rough enough to be off-putting. Read Full Review
