Geiger #19

Geiger has been a Top 10 comic since its debut and the only change now is its ascent to the Top 5. The cliffhanger at the end of this issue is very exciting as is the tease for next issue. This series hasn't let up and has remained one of 2025's most consistent reads. Read Full Review

Okay...so...can we have a Glowing Woman title already? Shes got a strength and power about her that would feel that much more poignant than the traditional Mad Max-style story that Geiger is trying to develop for the page. If you fear Geiger is too far in to jump in now, you could not be more wrong. There is always a recap in the beginning, and before you know it, you'll be completely sucked in. Geiger #19 really nails the story matter and the return of Ashley Arden. The revenge tour of the Glowing Woman leaves the reader on the edge of their seat waiting for more. Well, the tease in the epilogue will have readers excited for Tariq's return next month and the beginning of the crossover event. Geiger is one of the most well-rounded books on the shelves of the LCS and should definitely be on everyone's Pull List. Read Full Review

Plot This comic tells the story of how Ash Arden leaves a trail of justice in his wake. Ash manages to save children who were being sold as merchandise and teaches them how to use weapons to defend themselves. Of course, he also teaches them to be lethal and ruthless with their captors. This comic showcases Ash's tenacity in his new life's purpose: to help and rescue children who are prey to ruthless human traffickers, sexual predators, and any criminal who takes advantage of their strength and age to corrupt children. The comic closes with a powerful revelation that connects Redcoat to the Geiger universe. All the connections within this universe will be revealed soon. Art: As usual, Gary Frank achieves the perfect balance of highly detailed and organic art with clear colors that don't hide anything. Every panel on every page is mesmerizing; each time you look at it, you discover new and incredible details. Rob Leigh's lettering is an onomatopoeic explosion of adrenaline. This issue proves that the artist makes all the difference between a readable comic book and an outstanding comic book. I understand that Gary Frank needs a break once in a while, but I’d prefer if the book went on a hiatus with him instead of continuing with disappointing guest art. Anyway, welcome back, Mr. Frank!

I like that Johns focused on Ashley Arden. It keeps the title fresh when you can focus on other characters rather than just your main character all the time. This one has a plot about traffiking children which always pulls at the heartstrings. That couple with Gary Frank's art, makes this a compelling read. Geiger remains a great read, even when he's not the main focus. The art always delivers and we get more glowing woman.
