You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jul 29, 2026Once the narrative moves beyond some of the silliness of the initial premise, it really feels like a very compelling sort of science fiction fantasy drama. This current series has hung together remarkably well over the course of two years. It will be nice seeing it get a chance to celebrate that a little bit next issue. Geiger has really transcended the cliché of the wasteland warrior to become something distinct and distinctly interesting. He didn't exactly start there. Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell
Jul 29, 2026Geiger #24 brings the series back in a big way. Revealing a new threat while continuing the journey with a group we’ve fallen in love with gives this issue some real bite. The story is so good it almost makes you forget about the inconsistencies with the releases of the issues in this series. Geiger still stands out as the flagship series from Ghost Machine and that is not a bad thing at all. If you haven’t been reading Geiger, this is a perfect jump on point. Plot
Geiger barely leaves the Department of Historic Preservation when he is surrounded by an army of robots with human skin, led by The Custodian. They are all modern versions of Junkyard Joe, but completely controlled. This army of robots manages to restrain Geiger and place the two boron rods on his back.
Barney bites off The Custodian's hand. Geiger is electrocuted and loses consciousness. Barney is also imprisoned somewhere.
Meanwhile, Dr. Molotov, Nathan, and Zig-Zag follow Junkyard Joe, who is on Geiger's trail. Nathan and Molotov have a deep conversation about regret. Junkyard Joe arrives at the location where Geiger is being held.
