Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #150 is a strong end to Sophie Campbell incredible run on this series. Donatello and Venus journey honored everything that came before it to make this final issue feel like things came full circle. This issue has a lot of strengths. The callback is great, the emotional resonance is there. Its absolutely not a start point however and requires a lot of foreknowledge of what's come before. For some that will be good for others bad. For me who primarily stated the main series at issue 101, i followed it just fine. A lot of sci fi and mystical stuff but the strengths here cannot be overlooked. Its a good end point for the run overall.

this was the final issue of the IDW Comics run, all of Sophie Campbell and Kevin Eastman's issues have been leading up to this. While the story was convoluted, in the end it all tied up nicely where Donatello had to deal with a Armaggon, and Venus sacrificed herself to defeat Armaggeon and the baboon. It was a little confusing with the time mechanics, and the quantum physics. But it wrapped up nicely, and at least it ended on a satisfying note. This has been my favorite interpretation of the TMNT (right up there with TMNT: Mutant Mayhem and 2012 Cartoon TMNT). Even if Jason Aaron's TMNT is a little wonky and not as good, at least in my headcanon TMNT ended here on a high note. So yeah, I really liked this series, and I would recccomen d people reading this series from start to finish. more

This issue was a total mixed bag for me. Sophie excels in emotional moments throughout the issue but this whole story arc has become so convoluted and disjointed that the issue felt so bloated with hand wavy solutions that it felt like a jumbled rush of a final issue. We did get some nice emotional beats with the future versions of the turtle fam throughout the arc, but it was a shame to exclude all the current timeline turtles in the final issue. In the end this was still a good issue full of amazing art and genuine emotional moments. The whole creative team involved in this epic run deserve applause and I could not be more grateful for being treated to such amazing stories. The IDW run is my favorite of all the TMNT comics which is hig h praise and I can't wait to see where the next phase goes. more

I started this series at issue one. I loved the first 100 issues. Once Sophie took the book over i felt a shift that my personal tastes just didn’t care for. Mutant town was goofy and while i did like the death shark stuff and i will agree Sophies emotional moments were awesome i just felt her whole run was too disconnected from what made the turtles a great comic prior to her takeover. I hope Jason Aaron can take this thing back to a more serious note with some more maturity.
