Wilson also follows up on a subplot she's been building up for a while now. It's still a little surprising to see play out, but it makes sense in the grand scheme of this arc. Whenever a writer is preparing to leave a book there's a sense of lame duck status with nothing having any real significance. Wilson is laying a foundation for her successor that could lead to some interesting directions or be ignored. Either way she's delivering a compelling story on her way out. Read Full Review

This is an okay issue. I'm still not that invested into even the premise of this story. It's not fun or interesting to see Diana sit around sadly while every other character drives the story forward. And I don't think losing love will cause Diana to be like this; that's a hurdle I'm having trouble with. The art is good and there are interesting ideas throughout the issue. This book is an uninspired collection of characters and moments (but not many character moments mind you) that keep going nowhere...slow.  G Willow Wilson never seemed to get comfortable on this book and since she announced she would be leaving it soon, we are in lame-duck territory.  I need a Wonder Woman book that I can love and sadly, this isn't it. Prelude: Wilson's Wonder Woman has been passable recently so here's hoping that continues or improves. The Good: Wonder Woman continues her downward spiral and the world with it's lack of love. I'm now losing interest in these though. The Bad: It's a lot of what we've had so far. Steve and Diana breaking up. Cheetah is a bit too weak in this which is funny considering she has the God Killer. Conclusion: This issue follows the same tread as the previous two but with less effectiveness and poorer decisions.
