All in all, this wasnt a terrible opening to Wilsons new arc by any means, but it should have been stronger in order to win over possible new readers, or people who were on the fence after the first arc. Theres no strong hook for the story, and that is a must in a first chapter. I don't care for this issue. The art is the immediate thing that put me off. I have tough time enjoying a comic if the art doesn't suck me in. In terms of the story, I think it's a little dull and played out but I'm still curious to see where it goes. Read Full Review

No matter who you are, it's heartbreaking to see our favourite heroes cry. Wonder Woman crying is just devastating, it made me feel devastated. But there is so much going in the now, that you might forget about it. Humans chaining up goddesses is a great metaphor if you can see it. Jesus Merino's artwork is up to notch. It compliments Wilson's above par story, which is in turn, hard to swallow and will put lump in your throat at the end.

Well the dialogue is getting better! So is the story! The art looked amazing! Though did have a few forced panels but overall good start to a story arc. Just wish Veronica Cale wasn’t Wonder Woman first choice.

Fine work - Jesus Merino has a classic style, and I mean that in a good, George Perez-ish way. Wilson continues to use a variety of tones throughout her short run, and I am impressed with her versatility.

"Can I get your John Hancock?" I did not expect for the ending of this issue to hit me right in the feels, it was sad. G. Willow Wilson is getting better and better with every issue. I love how she portrays Wonder Woman. Diana is kind, compassionate, tries to de-escalate conflict when she's able to and when she's not, she can handle the problem differently. The only thing that brings this issue down for me is the art. Merino's pencils aren't bad by any means, but I'm just not a fan of them. I prefer WW with more... slick looking art. Something like Nicola Scott or Emanuela Lupacchino.

I don't know, sometimes it starts big and ends in a pretty average note. I like what Wilson has done with Aphrodite, having her in any scene makes things go smooth, may be it's because she's a likeable character by default.

The pacing here is odd at times and I'm not really feeling the weight of the emotion. I think this series would be better served going back to a monthly schedule, so each issue is more comprehensive.

The evil plan here is kind of stupid and I’ve definitely seen it executed better. Wonder Woman literally has a rope that can make people tell the truth, but yeah, just blatantly lying to her face is 100% the way to trap her.
