So far, the story of the Amazons Attacked arc is very intriguing. I am excited to see what Robinson has planned for future installments. I am interested in seeing who does the artwork for the next installments, as both Merino and Stephen Segovia's have been superb thus far. Additionally, I do hope that Steve and Diana will continue to discuss the mental effects of her many adventures in the future. And, I do hope we learn just where Jason disappeared to and how that will affect Wonder Woman. Overall, the plot thickens in this issue and very intriguing details arise as to Darkseid's true motives. Will he travel back in time to rule over Themyscira as a god? One can only hope, as that would be amazing and give Wonder Woman a truly formidable foe! Read Full Review

Robinson's story moves along well enough this issue, and there is a decent amount of Grail appearing to satisfy those of us who have been craving it because recently, she has been relegated to an on-set extra. Read Full Review

This is an okay issue. The art is good especially during the action scenes. Merino does a lot of cool stuff when Diana takes Grail on. That action scene is a lot of fun and, along with the art, makes the issue worth reading. Personally, I don't find this story interesting. It's not horrible but Darkseid feels dull and generic and I still don't really care about Jason. Despite that, the issue is still enjoyable and fun to read. Read Full Review

In the end, this was a solid read, despite the wonky pacing, and it promises to pick up next issue. The teaser at the end alone pretty much guarantees an epic battle is coming, and Darkseid hasnt even reached the shores of Themyscira as the title of the arc promises, so there is plenty more excitement on its way. Wonder Woman #42 is a decently fun read. It has its problems, and Diana is still not as interesting under James Robinsons authorship. However, this is still a fun superhero read. I can recommend it as a good action-oriented issue. Feel free to check it out. Read Full Review

As per usual the artwork for Wonder Woman was fantastic " and we even got to see the prefect (lasso) being used. I forgot how long it'd been since we've seen that in action. So that was pretty nice. I know I don't trust Jason (and have stated it multiple times), but I do like his new character design. The armor looks brilliant. Read Full Review

While the art in this issue is great, that's about the only great thing we're dealing with here because nothing flows in this issue in what feels like a natural way.  Information is given, then withheld and it goes on and on like this back and forth until the issue is over and by the end of it all it just comes off feeling like James Robinson has no love for the story he's writing.
