Wonder Girl #7 provides some satisfying moments for Yara Flor's origin, but leaves additional threads open for exploration that may or may not be seen due to the cancellation of the series. If this issue doesn't quite land, I think a reread of the entire series in one sitting will prove helpful, though it won't flesh out all of Yara and the Esquecida's history. Read Full Review

Wonder Girl #7 crosses the finish line of the unceremoniously canceled series by the thinnest of margins. Yara Flor winds up with a new status quo. Some story elements (her mother's death) get a semblance of closure. And, the art by Del Duca reasonably lives up to Jones's level. Wonder Girl #7 wasn't meant to be the end but Jones and Duca did their best to provide some form of conclusion to the beginning of Yara's journey. Hopefully the Trial Of The Amazons will be able to provide more of a full arc for Yara as she interacts with the rest of the Wonder Woman franchise for the first time. Read Full Review

Very sad to see that this was the series' final issue. Had so much potential and was a casualty of 5G. Hopefully, Dark Crisis will bring back fan-favourite titles. As of now, DC is too focused on Batman titles.

Had some good moments but the final pages just rushed to a conclusion like all the previous issues. A shame this series was destroyed by delays and Joel Jones trying to rush through things to get to her end point really made this series so disappointing as Yara has the potential to be a fantastic character.

Such a rushed, meandering series, an unfortunate casualty of what never became of 5G. I had no stakes in many of these characters, and the lack of art cohesion through all issues has really hurt the promise of the series. It's a shame.

A pretty messy finale for a messy book, Joelle Jones continues to not excel at writing. The idea for the character was good, the execution not too much. Maybe in the future some other writer will do a better job with Yara but the decision to put this book out of its misery is a good one.

OK, so the good news is that YARA FLOR's launch is a success and we are for sure going to keep getting stories with her. The bad news is that it's a big shame her first story arc was dealt with like this. I can't say I know who Yara is, her tribe, or what she's about because stuff I thought was going to be explored in future issues is just not happening here. Thing is... I have no interest in reading Trial of the Amazons, maybe I will... idk, but this character deserved something much stronger.
