Beautiful art, with an array of Amazons from all over the DC firmament, but its lacking any sense of excitement, anticipation, or world-building. The story needs to focus more on teaching us who Yara is, and considering this is the second issue and we dont know much more about her than we did in the first issue, which is disappointing. Wonder Girl #2 also marked the return of a character DC readers saw with regularity throughout Rebirth. But we also met some new characters this issue " ones who will hopefully provide some clarity on Yara's situation in the near future. When you carry a title such as Wonder Girl, there is a certain level of excellence that you inherit. Joness Wonder Girl #2 delivered on the action and left just enough questions, to make you want to read the next issue. If you are a fan of the Amazonian side of DC, I would recommend you pick this issue up. If you are meh on Wonder Woman and her mythos, you are not missing anything too spectacularJust yet. Wonder Girl #2 does a good job continuing the heroes journey that Yara Flor has just begun to walk. Here we get her one step closer to her greater destiny. At the same time, we see how Yara getting closer to becoming Wonder Girl is causing a lot of attention from the different Amazon branches and Gods of different mythologies. This story just got really interesting, I am very happy to see Cassie Sandmark and Artemis come back. I am excited for them to meet Yara Flor. Yara Flor is still an engaging character. The only thing that bothers me is that Eros falls in love with Yara because he accidentally cut herself which is lame to be honest. But the art and fight scenes are engaging.

A brave new world is unfolding exciting audiences with its coming. So when the Amazons want to prevent it, it's understandable but the reader can't help but loathe them for it.

Wonder Girl #2 - 8.0 Cover B - 8.5 Story - 7.5 Art - 7.5 Color - 8.0 lettering - 7.5 I wish Joelle did the art for the whole issue. It's Issue 2 with Dc's Hottest New Character that looks amazing and all ready has a fan base. Dc should have had the same artist do at least 3 issue's even if it wasn't JJ. Issue #1 was a 10 this issue#2 was of a little let down but i'm still all in.

Another good issue. The hunt for Yara begins as heavy hitters from each faction are sent to bring Yara in. This issue was definitely slower than the last as it takes it time to introduce all are "hunters" and nothing much else happening, until the very end. I think, in general, this Wonder Girl series is a much more grounded version of Yara from future state. As such we don't get much of what made Yara so interesting before: the fantastical scale of things. Still, the issue is solid and I plan to read more. ---Slight nitpick on the characterization of Cassandra: she comes off as bubbly and I've never seen her that way. (Then again I only read her in Geoff Johns' and Scott Lobdell's respective Teen Titans runs)

Wanted to like it, but didn't. This issue was pretty boring and was bad enough to convince me to bail out on the series after 2 issues.
