Batman has no idea what he's doing. Superman? Not a clue. Wonder Woman? Whatever. Damian Wayne is Robin, and he's done with the bleeding-heart approach favored by the heroes of the senior circuit. New plan of action: recruit a new Teen Titans. Kid Flash, Red Arrow and newbies Roundhouse, D'jinn and...wait, Lobo has a daughter? That'll end well. And then build something in secret deep beneath the new Teen Titans HQ. Secret from his teammates, secret from even Batman. It's a secret that will change the way you look at Robin forever!

DC Comics News - Steve Ray

With the amount of interest surrounding the Teen Titans these days; an animated movie in theatres, a hit cartoon show, and the upcoming live action series for the DC Universe Streaming Service, this series needed to deliver a first rate relaunch. I'm happy to say that it has exceeded expectations, and that I can't wait to see what comes next. Read Full Review

If you havent been reading Teen Titans, youre in luck because this is a great issue to jump into. There are very little ties to the last 19 issues. The big reveal is pretty fantastic too. What Damian does in this issue is both logical and one of the craziest things in the Teen Titans books Ive read. I cant wait to see what the repercussions are. Read Full Review

While some of the minor team members could do with a bit more characterization, TEEN TITANS #20 is a highly satisfying experience with some absolutely fantastic action sequences. The way Glass explores Damian's mentality especially works well in this issue. Read Full Review

The story is tightly told, and the art is energetic and fun. But there is no mistaking that this is continuing a dark tone, as the last couple of pages shockingly reveal. Read Full Review

A vast improvement on what's come before with spectacular art to boot.  Dialogue (and behaviors) border on the cringy at times, which I can overlook, since this is the first time I've been excited about this title (and property) in quite some time. Read Full Review

Teen Titans has been one of Rebirth's better series though hasn't always stood out with its own voice. This issue though sets the team, and Damian, apart in many ways and should create an interesting narrative moving forward that is sure to become rather explosive. Read Full Review

    Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison

Teen Titans #20 is a genuinely dark turn for this team, and it is handled with the skill necessary to keep it from being the edgy Titans. The pacing, tone management, and artwork all work together to make a solid book. This one comes recommended. Check it out. Read Full Review

Bounding Into Comics - Matt Johnson

I wasn't sure what I was going to think about this team going in. In press I saw before release, I felt like they were trying to sell me on an X-Force for the DC Universe, but in actuality I found I rather liked the book. The teenage angst that Damian expresses, feels real enough and I'm sure it'll be sooner rather than later that his father has something to say about what he's been up to and with whom. As teenage super hero teams go it looks like the cast is diverse and ticks all the boxes for either ultimate team work or lots of in-fighting (or both!) and I like that they have a bit more attitude that the classic Teen Titans, I look forward to seeing what they get up to. Read Full Review

Robin has assembled a new team of Teen Titans, and while said team has some potential, it's still too early to tell whether their potential will amount to anything. Adam Glass wastes no time getting this story started, and Bernard Chang's illustrations work well enough, but something is missing.. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Jul 28, 2018

Teen Titans #20 showed that there is a lot of potential with the direction Adam Glass has planned for this series. The team that Robin assembled all showed potential to florish under his leadership with a storyline that kicks off this fresh start on a positive note. Still, it is to early to tell if the potential Glass presents can build long-term interest in the Teen Titans. Read Full Review
