Superman '78 #6

Superman '78 #6 is everything you want it to be and need it to be. Many have wished that Christopher Reeve had made more and better Superman films, and this is the perfect way to do that. Originally, Lois and Clark were going to get married in Superman V ". So I guess I'm suggesting a timeline of Superman: The Movie, Superman II, Superman '78, Superman III (we've already seen Richard Pryor's Gus Gorman in issue #5), Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and then Superman V". This strikes me a little Silver/Bronze age with Superman promising to find a way to enlarge Kandor. But this new dynamic with Superman inspiring his parents, giving them hope, is really great. Okay, I have gushed enough here. Each scene, each interaction, each joke ... I have loved it all here. An okay finale. It was a bit weak, but altogether this mini-series was worth it. It's nice to have something Superman worth reading out there. With Luthor still at large it leaves things open for a sequel, which I'm very open to the idea of. Especially if Venditti stays with it. This issue was a little less thrilling than most, but it made a good enough conclusion for one of the best Superman stories in a few years.

Decent ending but I was expecting a bit more from Lex Luthor, Venditti kept teasing he had a plan and he ultimately went nowhere with it.

This series was perfect until this issue, Superman is lifting metropolis from falling, then there a flash and everything Is back to normal? Really disappointed. Good series overall and it captured the look and feel of the movies but the ending really fell flat
