The explosive game of keepaway that has been the Super Sons of Tomorrow crossover brings all of its parts together in what felt like it was going to be a climactic issue, but ended up with one last twist to overcome. After the slow build seeing the Justice League of Tomorrow in small amounts across the arc, their arrival in the current DCU was so frantic that it ran the risk of being anti-climactic, as the big finish appeared to be stopping Jon from detonating the Fortress of Solitude. But now with one last time-travel Hail Mary coming from Tim, the new players are set up for an emotional finale. Read Full Review

Superman #38 delivered another strong chapter in the Super Sons of Tomorrow story arc. Bringing in the Titans of Tomorrow along with Superman added to the conflict that the future Tim Drake created. Seeing all these characters interacting together made the final sequence with Superboy's Solar Flare powers deliver the impact Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason were looking for. Now with how things ended we still have a lot of questions left unanswered for the final chapter of this crossover. Read Full Review

Despite these issues, it still is an amazing story that further cements Jon's place in the wider DCU. It also gives some hints at mysteries of the DC continuity that have yet to be explored, such as Hypertime. Plus, it was great to see Conner and Bart again. Read Full Review

I admit that I was surprised that there was still another issue to conclude this crossover, so I am interested to see how they will end this event. I do hope that Future Tim is not drawn back to the current timeline as he seems to be out of the picture in a way. The only development I could see with Tim would be coming face to face with Dr. Manhattan and that this is somehow connected to Doomsday Clock. If you are dedicated enough to follow this story through its various titles then it is a thoroughly enjoyable issue with some satisfying action, but if you are only reading this series in an isolated fashion then it may be worth giving this one a miss and jumping back on board next issue. Overall "Super Sons of Tomorrow" is a very bombastic storyline but somewhat shallow in the end as some of the big mysteries that could really have been touched on never really get explored. What could have ended up probably one of the most interesting crossovers did end up fizzling out a bit into just an average book. Read Full Review

In the penultimate issue to the SUPER SONS OF TOMORROW crossover, Tomasi, Gleason, and Davila round up a satisfying story. The ending is questionable but it may be expanded upon in the next issue of the storyline. I was a big fan of the artwork by Davila here. Read Full Review

The ending is a little flat at times. There's a lot that just happens and there's not much reaction to it. We'll see if there's follow up to it but on it's own, there's just something missing. While this issue is high on action, it's lacking in reason behind the majority of it and just seems to want to finish up just for the sake of finishing whether it makes sense or not.  Things are just thrown at you here just because and that's really disappointing for how interesting this crossover started.  The art is amazing, but overall....... Through the "Imperius Lex" arc and now "Super Sons of Tomorrow," Tomasi & Gleason's run on Superman keeps declining in quality. The heartfelt characterization between Lois, Clark, and Jonathan is rarely seen anymore. It's been replaced by dumb slugfests and lots of explosions. The writers make up stuff with no explanation and internal story logic is ignored. Thank God this crossover is over in one more issue because it can't end soon enough. Read Full Review

Superman does show up to save his son, but by that time this whole comic seems like a hot mess. There is arguably value in it maintaining and continuing the Bat-Drake storyline but it would be more suitable as a Teen Titans as opposed to Superman story arc. A lot of DC titles have seemed to be running in place setting up stuff that may or may not come to pass, and I would describe this issue as one of those comics where a lot seems to happen but the story doesnt seem to be moving forward very quickly. I don't know what this crossover is trying to be, and I don't think it has any idea either. While the overall story is treading water, this issue does have a few momentary flashes of greatness. Tomasi and Gleason know how to write character interactions, and some of the zaniness with Hypertime is a blast in how insane it is. Despite some clever visuals and a few bits of inspiration, though, “Super Sons of Tomorrow” continues to be a frustratingly average story. Read Full Review

This honestly felt like a better conclusion to the story than the actual conclusion in super sons, but I guess they needed to wrap a few small loose ends here and there, definitely interested to see the Saviour return as a character again, I think he could definitely do with a six issue mini, but that’s just me, overall it’s been a solid story and a recommended read in my opinion.

Bwahahahahahahaa ! No seriously they cannot be serious with this story. I want to facepalm at the end. So the bad Teen titans of the futur didn't want to see a kid dying. And Savior want sacrifice himself ... WHAAAAT ! Dumbest story ever. I believe the futur titans will come back to there time & nobody will ask Konor who he is ... I want to throw up Cover - I take the variant 1/2 Writing - Worst story of the Rebirth so far 1/3 Arts - I like Davila arts 3/3 Feelings - I regreat been so curious 0/2
