There's some interesting concepts here, particularly condemning someone for actions they have yet to commit, and they aren't explored in depth, but instead we get a drag out fight that's satisfying and visually impressive. An event that initially sounded interesting is now a must read after this one issue and I can't wait to see where it all goes. Read Full Review

Time travel and alternate reality stories are difficult to follow. There's a lot of bookkeeping involved, a lot of narrative jumps that need to be ordered and made, and you're going to want your back issues near, along with some notes. But if you just want to jump aboard and see what happens, you're in good hands and company. Read Full Review

How our villain of this story is actually in this story is never explained here and we do have two over the top fight scenes, but even with that, I'm really intrigued to see where this crossover goes and hope that it will lead to the return of one of my favorite characters.  Even if that's not the case though, this is a decent opener to this story that has incredible art the entire way through. While there are a few moments where I'm questioning some of the writing, the pacing and action is on point and doesn't slow down. The fight is in your face, and Jiminez manages to characterize Bruce, Clark and Tim through their body language alone. Honestly, I haven't been this excited about artwork in a long time. Tomasi and Gleason are awesome together and Jorge Jimenez is a talented artist. With all the excitement that's surrounded Action Comics recently, it has, in turn, hid the regular Superman title. Don't let this series fall away into comic book irrelevancy. I totally suggest that you be reading Superman, and this is coming from a Batman guy. As a single issue, the story did not have much character development nor did it really focus on Superman. Half the issue, as noted earlier, took place in Wayne Manor between Bruce and Tim. As this was a Superman issue, it may have been better for Supermans confrontation with Future Tim to last longer. This could have even revealed more about Future Tims relationship with Superboy/Superman in the future. However, as a set up for this Super Sons arc, I am definitely looking forward to seeing Jon and Damian face off against Bat-Tim. Read Full Review

Superman #37 continues the steady decline in Tomasi & Gleason's writing on Superman. The heartfelt characterization between Lois, Clark, and Jonathan has become sparser over the past 3 months while boring punch-outs, clich-riddled dialogue and cardboard cut-out villainy have taken the spotlight. The one thing this book has going for it is sharp art coupled with outstanding coloring. Other than that, Superman has become undeniably padded for trade, awash in mindless fight scenes and losing focus on the potent characterization that once made it such a crowd-pleasing romp among all the DC Rebirth books. Really enjoy the concept of this story and it was well excuted, however one issue I have is with the lack of connection to detective comics as this really felt like more of a continuation of the storyline from the a lonely place of living story arc, but I think anyone not reading that book could probably catch up with what happened just from the story as it goes on, so definitely recommend buying this one if you can!

At first I didn't want to do it. I was doing superman but stop with issue 34. I was doing Super sons but stop issue 9. Then I see the sneak peek with Future Tim (Damn Detective Comics). I loved the last time he show up. And I become curious. So I take it. And damn this story is good. The fight between Bruce & Tim as only one flaw (The part where Bruce stand with the television & Tim will launch the clock, the tv disappear & the clock appear from nowhere). The part with Tim agains Clark is even better (Ok their is some batman vs superman reference with Tim having is trap ready outside the fortress where he land ^^ ). But very strong story. Well done. Cover - I find only the regular. Not really related for the story for now. Nor very go od. 0.5/2 Writing - Damn that was good. 3/3 Arts - Damn that was awesome 3/3 Feeling - Not regretting having a turn of mind. 2/2 more
