Once again, Campbell is delivering a series that has a disticnt look and feel that doesnt feel like any other comic book on the rack today. And yet...it fits perfectly into the overall realm of the DC Universe. Campbells Midval feels perfectly at home in a DC universe populated by Gotham City, an orbital JLA base and everything else. This is sort of 'done in one' adventure that continues to build this world. We see Supergirl as a young hero but an accomplished one. Having her train Luminary like Superman trained her is a brilliant plot thread. And so many nods to history. I just hope this remains a Supergirl book with side characters and not a team book with her in the background. Read Full Review

The plot might be less dense and a little lighter than the first three issues, but it also has a lot of moments that are incredibly relatable, and it's fascinating to see bits and pieces of Kara's history on Earth be explored in the modern era. Love this book. Read Full Review

To be honest, I didn't feel this series had a very strong start, but these last two issues and specifically 'Supergirl #4' have really grabbed my attention. Sophie Campbell is just a beast of a creator and has successfully added a nuance to Supergirl that I didn't see coming. Read Full Review

Sophie Campbell is on a roll with this comic. Can we just appreciate Kara in a goth outfit without leaving character and as a healthy exploration of life, love and comradery instead of a perverted clown dressing her up with mind control. This is how you do a modern take on a classic character with respect. The times have changed since the silver-age and 70s and 80s, but this is the same character moving through the ages, screwing up, improving herself, learning about her new world and being a role model. Being super - not by always doing the right thing - but by wanting to. Now after some good comics and girls night out, but especially due to Maihack's comics I'm ride or die with Babs being Kara's buddy cop. But this new Scooby Gang has my heart as well. more
