This issue is basically just one long fight scene which normally, while exciting, doesn't usually add very much to a story. Well, that is not the case with this issue. Among the exciting fight scenes, we also get really well-done storytelling by Andreyko. I'm honestly very impressed by it. Add that with this art team and you have one hell of an issue. There is one part that is a bit disappointing but that is a reflection on the comic industry and not a fault of this book at all. Read Full Review

Andreyko finally delivers an end to the multi-part story that has a perfect sense of drama, action, and pacing. The only thing that keeps it from being nearly as good as it SHOULD have been is the fact that Andreyko seems to have been rushed to get to this point in the story. There was real potential in a quest like this rolling through a couple of years. As it is, the resolution here feels rather abrupt when taken in the context of a story which really SHOULD have been longer. Read Full Review

The ending has a pair of guest stars that I'll be interested to see in this book. It could get very interesting. Hopefully the next issue keeps up the quality of this issue. I'm sure it's possible. You know, as long as it's Kevin Maguire doing the art on it. Read Full Review

VerdictMy personal gripes aside, this issue had depth. With her allegiances all over the place, the title has been sent in a new direction. Her crusade to find the truth isn't over and much can still happen. I'd pick this up to see the cosmic possibilities over anything else. Read Full Review

We've largely only seen Gandela as a shadowy background villain until now, but this issue makes clear she's one of the most powerful villains in the universe " her body can shapeshift into massive crystal forms and she can rebuild from being shattered. The battle between her and Supergirl is one of the most impressive scenes in the series " I just wish the plot backed it up better. Read Full Review

I am both happy that this is behind us. Disappointed that we needed these shortcuts to get there. And actuall underwhelmed with the story itself. Seriously, a Kara liking the rage she is feeling as she plans to split someone's head with an axe? That's not a Supergirl I want to read. At least the art is glittering. Read Full Review

Great story and facial expressions, this issue left me to want to know more about Supergirl journey.... Pd: I hope this not the end of story between Kara, Zndr and Krypto they have good interactions (But first I hope Zndr fix his relation with Kara in a appropiate way, and tell her all the truth).

Artwork was eh pretty good on some panels except for Superman’s face, that was awful. With Rogal out of the phantom zone, the axe should be going back to him. The dialogue was eh ok, just feel like Kara’s emotions went full throttle too fast and thought Krypto knew about Z’nder’s past so made no sense why he was guarding him from escaping.
