DC Comics News - Adam Ray
Feb 15, 2019This issue provides the fun and intensity, and space age action, we've come to expect from this title. The driving force as to why Supergirl is in deep space is still true, but her direction and involvement with the Omega-Men has her fighting a new angle, which will set up future issues and future storylines in a very interesting way. Feb 13, 2019Everything else aside, Andreyko advances Supergirl in a really engaging coming-of-age story here. She has gone into deep space in order to get answers and maybe a little bit of revenge, but after the events of this issue shes seen the anger within her and backed away from it. Given the right finesse, Andreykos treatment of Supergirls character development could turn into something interesting by the time she eventually returns to earth. Read Full Review

Feb 13, 2019This issue sometimes flags a little in the main sci-fi plot, but there's always some great character-driven underpinnings that keep it compelling. Read Full Review

Feb 13, 2019Sure, it's fun and entertaining. I like a fun space adventure with a purpose. We continue down this side plot which is still interesting . The appearance of the Omega Men twist was fun but as someone who hasn't read that series, I was a bit lost. That all being said, There are some weird panel transition that I felt were kind of out-of-place but I was able to move past them rather easily. Read Full Review

Feb 13, 2019There's a lot of good happening here. It just got derailed during the latter half of the book. Maybe the next issue will remedy that. Read Full Review

Feb 21, 2019Though it's an action-packed tale filled with some surprising twists, this is an issue that seems to inch further and further away from the core of Supergirl, and that's a disappointment. Read Full Review

Feb 13, 2019We continue to have a fun space adventure with Supergirl. Though our main plot has become lost along the way, we are still getting quality content from this book as it is fun and makes me look forward to each issue. I'm not that picky. If a book can do that, I'm very happy with it Read Full Review

Feb 13, 2019The fight with Splyce is pretty cool too, but Supergirl #27 just feels a little lackluster, even as Supergirl sets up to face off with Hokum's latest creations. Read Full Review

Feb 15, 2019But so much else here seemed off. Ripping off of tongues. Firing weapons at an opponent's chest. Krypto frying off someone's hand. It seems like a step back to the more grim New 52 style stuff. And then there is an actual acknowledgment that this arc is spinning it's wheels. I have to hope we are turning a corner here.
