Williamson creates a compelling narrative that details the accounts of the rise of Ra's Al Ghul's empire and the use of mysticism in his endeavors. Robin is a series that continues to defy expectations and cannot be classified within any sort of box as its focus shifts but never fully leaves the mission behind, a mission to deep dive into Damian Wayne and his life/legacy. Robin #10 is a good issue because it plays against expectations with new details, background, and surprises sprinkled throughout. Add to the fact that it acts as a buffer of info to add new context to the war at the Lazarus Tournament and you have yourself a good superhero comic through and through. Read Full Review

The pace of the book slows down a bit here to give readers greater insight into the Al Ghul's history, particularly Mother Souls, and that of the League of Lazarus. It's much needed information, and adds to the character and the lore of the family as a whole. It also works well as a break from the action we've had these last few issues. Plus, I always love seeing Damian learn more about his family history. Overall, it's another solid addition to the series. Read Full Review

All in all, the art in this issue is amazing as always and the background on Mother Soul, not to mention how the rest of the Leagues surrounding Ra's Al Ghul were put together at the creation of Ra's modern persona was greatly appreciated, but with that, some of this felt like a bit of recap to things, while fudging some other things to make them make sense to the current story. That element is a bit disappointing but even with that this is still an enjoyable issue that keeps me intrigued to read more and I can't wait to see what happens after this issue's cliffhanger. I think that Williamson is one of the few acceptable elements that DC has after Ram V. The series complies, focused on children, so it is acceptable.
