Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles
Mar 13, 2019Hawkman has gone from a sleeper title to a can't miss book. There's a lot of quality DC books out there right now, but this is my top choice to encourage new readers to check out. It's got a little of everything that makes this character great and has been a blast every issue. With this cliffhanger, it's gonna be a long wait for the next issue. Read Full Review

Mar 19, 2019The quality in writing and artwork from Hawkman(and Doomsday Clock)are the reasons I still collect comic books. They make me excited to pick up the next issue every time. Mar 10, 2019This issue feels like the beginning of the end, as I've said in the past, with all the fun I'm having with Robert's run on the series. It will be hard to follow such an epic story. With solicitations for May already out, we know this story will end at issue 12 but there is no evidence that shows the title will continue after. So with the possibility of only two issues left. I expect nothing but greatness from this amazing creative team for the conclusion of what may be the best Hawkman story ever. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge
Apr 17, 2020As Hawkman gets closer to wrapping up this storyline, which I'm likely to use as a jumping-off point for, it's delivering in spades. The action is the main draw here as it takes all that's come before and puts it to good use as Carter faces off against Idamm and his own actions from the past. With the fate of many worlds at stake and billions of beings whose death will keep him in debt for eternity, it's no surprise that Carter is fighting back hard and discovering a new trick or two. It's smoothly plotted out and moves great while Hitch and Currie put together some gorgeous pages that really capture the scale of it all. Very recommended. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
Mar 13, 2019It's impressive that Hitch has drawn every issue of this series, a big change from his aborted Justice League of America run before Rebirth, and his art hasn't suffered at all. Every issue of this series has been epic in its own way. But after the cosmic adventures of the previous issues, the big showdown on Earth this issue doesn't have quite the same dynamic energy. Weird Science - Eric Shea
Mar 13, 2019The storytelling is pretty basic in this issue, but it ultimately gets the job done. Really though, I'm just looking for Venditti to tell me more about the Deathbringers and why I should care about them and how Hawkman is able to do his time and space jaunts whenever he feels like it beyond just saying its supernatural gobbledygook and moving on. The art in this issue is enjoyable, I'm just looking for more out of this title. Read Full Review
