Jul 19, 2017This book is getting better and better. I have to give this issue a 10/10 because it peaks my interests in so many ways. From the A.I. to the Life Energy, this story is crazy interesting, the art is pretty creative. The creatures/landscape both paint a believable "10 billion years ago" picture. Humphries kills it with this story. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017This issue was a lot of fun. It's great seeing these still relatively inexperienced lanterns getting pushed to their breaking point with no one to rely on but each other. I'm really enjoying how Humphries has gotten the title on track. Green Lanterns has quietly become a consistently good read the last couple of months. With Baz and Cruz's latest adventure, it doesn't look like that is going to slow down anytime soon. Read Full Review

Jul 26, 2017Anyway, this is another solid chapter in the saga of Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz, the Green Lanterns. I continue to hold that this is the best comic of Rebirth, and everyone should give it a try. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017Maybe I'm just an idiot, and I can't see the obvious but I loved Humphries twist near the end of this issue. Seeing the White Lantern Entity made me rush to my long boxes (because I remember Nekron stabbing it at the end of Blackest Night) so I was ready to write shenanigans over and over again for my review, but the twist that Cruz and Baz were sent to the Earth in the past made everything fall in line. Overall a really fun issue of Green Lanterns. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017I love when a book I wasn't super in to, becomes one of my favorites. How Jessica is handling everything that's thrown at her, is exactly what I've been waiting fro since day 3 of Green Lanterns. Even though the whole back in time story gets redundant, the way Humphries had the characters approach the situation made it feel new. Perfect amount of thrill and humor, a great read for the week. Comics: The Gathering - Hussein Wasiti
Jul 19, 2017This issue really picks up the series, as it almost seemed like Sam Humphries didn't know what to do with his own characters. Here the pieces he set up begin to make sense and fall into place, though I wish he did set everything up in a better way before. Cliquet's art was fantastic too. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017After 25issues of Sam Humphries writing, it pleases me to see how he has continuallykept Green Lanterns fresh, always headingin new directions and never " to my recollection " repeating himself. Icome from an era when comic book writers stayed on a book indefinitely, andHumphries seems inclined to stay as long as DCs readership will have him. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017An enjoyable continuation of the Volthoom storyline from the last issue, but not particularly memorable from a story perspective. The artwork is the true hero of this issue as each page gives one something new and interesting to look at. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017Green Lanterns #27 is an okay issue that struggles in the pacing department with too much time spent creating a "Land of the Lost" vibe. The appearance of a character that I don't think we've seen since "Brightest Day" and the introduction of another "First Lantern" are the issue's saving graces along with a solid effort from the art team. Seven out of ten lanterns. Read Full Review

Jul 19, 2017While we eventually get to some interesting things in this issue, the majority of the book was a bit boring on our way to get it. The art was great and I like the direction this book is taking and the ideas thrown out about how our characters might change going forward, but Simon and Jessica still aren't the most exciting characters to read about and in the end this book was just alright. This was just an "ok" issue. Jessica & Simon are thrown back into early earth history. This issue didn't impress me in story or artwork.

Wait, what? *spoilers*: Earth ten billion years ago? Ten BILLION years ago??? It's called Google people, use it! I can't get over how stupid that is, is this an alternate universe that is billions of years offset from the regular universe? Because the Earth should not even exist that long ago. The is an otherwise decent comic but... Goddamn did that take me out of the story. I thought it was actually pretty funny how Baz curses Batman for convincing him to give up his gun, I was thinking the same thing.
