This is a great issue. The Citizen story continues to be really interesting. I think this is a great villain and a really fun one to put against Oliver. It's a fun dynamic. Additionally, I love the art so I highly recommend this issue. Read Full Review

The Bensons have one more issue left in their run and they've set things up for a solid conclusion. There's a little sense that they could have let this arc play out longer given more time, but their final issue looks to be a worthwhile payoff to a strong albeit short run. Read Full Review

The Citizen does seem like an intriguing enemy for Green Arrow to have to face off against, and its gripping to see him go up against someone who pretty much shares his views. With the story strongly focused on the people, and Green Arrow just trying to find the mastermind behind it all, he seems like hes lost in a sea. Read Full Review

Green Arrow #46 was a strong return to The Citizen plotline. Julie Benson and Shawna Benson did a great job progressing the plot at a quick pace. The revelations are worked in well to give Green Arrow and Black Canary the information they need to set in motion the final stage of this story arc. Read Full Review

Overall, the story could've handled Oliver's past sins and the reveal of the Citizen a bit better. It feels like we've lost a bit of momentum. However, with the ending in sight, maybe this arc can end on a good note as Oliver plans to somehow take down the Citizen and regain the public eye. Read Full Review

It really feels like Roy Harper's funeral issue last month went and through this arc into a tizzy and this issue is doing all it can to get the arc back on track by being rushed as hell to get our characters where they need to be by the end with the knowledge that they'll need going forward.  The art's alright, but nothing about this issue really "wow"-ed me and I don't have a lot of faith going forward with this creative team. I like theartwork of German Peralta and John Kalisz. Its consistent with the look of thebook established 46 issues ago, but if also fresh and different. Ive found newappreciation for colorists, who have historically gotten the short of thestick. Their work has evolved from color by numbers of the Silver Age to becomea key element of conveying mood, atmosphere, and overall sense of place. Kudosto Kalisz. Read Full Review

I'm actually liking this Benson run quite a bit at this point. These are all flawed issues, but they get the kind of tone I like to see from Green Arrow. With that said, I do think this issue was the least character-driven so far. I think this is because they felt a need to catch up after the Roy Harper issue, and the pacing is maybe a bit too fast. Either way, I like the direction the story takes--Oliver discovering that he actually is innocent, and the plot twist at the end as well. I'm looking forward to the rest of their run. In the end, when it comes to Green Arrow, my favorite superhero, I'd rather have a respectable writer whose concept of the character I agree with but writes flawed stories than someone who writes good s tories that don't ring true to the character. more

Issue was eh ok. Wasn’t the worse nor the best Green Arrow book I’ve read. Seems like they have all the information that they need by halfway in the issue. Which makes the last half of issue kinda boring with majority of things going their way. You can bet that the cliffhanger he isn’t in any danger, it is part of his plan, which seems very predictable. This book doesn’t excite me like it used to. The art is what saved it for me

This is a very rushed issue. The emotional implications for Ollie's innocence in his drunk driving case is completely glossed over and the villain betrays their own sense of morals to make them more villainous, when the opposite would've been more intriguing.

THE GOOD: -I enjoyed the art. It's a step down from previous issues, but it's still pretty good. THE BAD: -Citizen is equally the least interesting and most boring villain this series has had. -This issue came off of such a good issue before it, I was actually quite excited for it. Unfortunately I was let down, as they are simply continuing the bad story arc before that issue, and with an issue that actually makes the story arc more boring and forgettable. -This issue had crappy writing. I looked, and it ended up being the same writers of the previous issue, which evoked a beautiful father son relationship and really hit me in the feels. This issue does none of that. -I am not at all compelled by the mystery/investigati on in this issue. It is uninteresting and brings down the issue. -A very predictable and stupid end. more
