The Freedom Fighters go public in present-day Nazi America! It's been 50 years of fascist rule in the U.S. under Hitler and his heirs, and frankly, everyone's had enough. A new Freedom Fighters team makes a very public debut in hopes of rallying the people and re-igniting the long-dormant American spirit. Phantom Lady, Black Condor, Doll Girl and Human Bomb strike a blow against the Gestapo's Iron Police Force, but will it be enough to summon the long-lost Uncle Sam from retirement?

But Why Tho? - William J. Jackson

I recommend this maxi-series to fans of World War Two, fans of the Amazon Prime show Man in the High Castle, geeks who love lees popular superheroes and anyone looking for a new series to dig into. This issue offered up a classic comic book fight, lots of boom, the air of heroism and good versus evil. Get in on it and spread the word. This talented crew is onto something special here. Comicosity - Allen Thomas

Comics as a serial medium means that there is not just a singular issue, but how it works within a larger collection of pieces. I love how this context is forever evolving, even after a series ends, so to see Freedom Fighters begin its evolution makes me wonder how the rest of the story is going to pan out. With the second issue of a 12-issue maxi, there are likely some major events to follow, sparked by the embers of this installment. The mood feels appropriate for this series, and it is dishearteningly timely. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Deejay Dayton

The focus on action means there is a lack of development. As I said, that does not bother me, I trust the story, but it does mean that I preferred the first issue to this one. But all that really means is that one shouldnt dive in with issue 2. Start with issue 1. Now. Go do it. Im serious. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett

There's not a lot of rocket science to the comic. It's action pack and the Nazis get their butts kicked. In this day, that's about as satisfying as you need. The team mixes the high octane action with just enough rah-rah to not go too over the top into parody instead keeping the tone grounded in a retro sort of way. Fun action delivered through awesome art creates a comic that's a hell of a lot of fun. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Matthew Lloyd

There's some palatable emotion packed in this issue as well as some exceptional visuals. Together, they make this issue a solid follow up to last month's inaugural chapter. It builds upon last month's set up with a deep emotionally plunged dagger. Nazi's are easy to hate, but can you find that American Spirit inside yourself? Read Full Review

You want to see some heroes be heroes and kick a little ass?  Well, boy, do I have an issue for you.  Seriously though, we get an issue that is pretty much a big ass fight scene, which normally I'm against but as a way to showcase what our heroes can do it works pretty well.  So yeah, the story is still fun and I'm continuing to love the art.
