Flash #78

I have consistently enjoyed Joshua Williamson's run on the Flash, the series has gotten even better since the Year One storyline. Seeing a properly hopeful and optimistic Barry is a pure joy. I'm eagerly awaiting to see how the Death of the Speed Force wraps up and also to learn what Williamson has planned for the Rogues Gallery. Read Full Review

I've enjoyed this arc and with this cliffhanger, Williamson has some fun possible directions he can take it especially if the other Force Users get a boost whenever a rival is killed. Williamson continues 78 issues strong with one of DC's most consistently entertaining books. Read Full Review

Rafa Sandoval has some beautiful art in this issue and everything from the action to the characters looks fantastic. All of the action scenes are filled with movement and power. I loved how this book looked from the first pages. Read Full Review

This issue raises the bar for the Flash comic, which was somewhere in the middle, quality wise. This new issue gives us great action, amazing art, interesting characters, and incredible story progression We even get a cliffhanger that has me already thinking about how the future issues will deal with the consequences. And, if youre behind, or have been thinking about jumping onto The Flash, then now is an exciting time to do so. A solid 10! What a great book Joshua Williamson continues his great flash run. This book did a tremendous job building up and explaining everything and then concluded in a big way! There is nothing not to like in this one

Prelude: This has been a bit of a mixed arc for me so here's hoping Williamson improves on this issue. The Good: Man, the art in this is absolutely amazing. Really loving Sandoval's work on this book. I've come to terms with Year of the Villain and these sideplots so I'm enjoying The Rogues recruitment trip a lot more now. Really interested in the main plot as well as how things are going to go from here. The Bad: Plot still feels a bit slow. Conclusion: Plot, while slow, is picking up now and I'm getting interested. My main gripes are now becoming the highlights so I hope Williamson keeps this up.
